For immediate distribution

La Tuque, October 1st 2009 – The organisation committee of the 2010 edition of the «12 heures d’endurance de La Tuque» is proud to confirm the return of the event. The city of La Tuque will host this event which will take place on May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd 2010.
This unique event grabs the interest of the Québec race enthusiasts since many different events will be presented on one site being that of: quad, endure-cross as well as the trial.
Always spectacular, the «12 heures de quad« will be raced in three 4-hour heats in teams of two or three pilots with only one quad of a minimal cylindrical capacity of 240 cm3 and of a maximum of 1000 cm3. The heats starts will be given in the following order, 1:00pm and 9:00pm on Saturday and at 11:00am on Sunday. The night heat is surprisingly impressive. The return of the IRONMAN category amplifies the show and allows 5 pilots to surpass themselves.
The «12 heures d’enduro» will also be raced in three 4-hour heats, in teams of two or three pilots with, new this year, one or two bikes, of a minimal capacity of 100 cm3 and a maximal cylindrical capacity of 100cm3. The start of each heat will be respectively given at 2:00pm and 10:00pm on Saturday and at 12:00pm on Sunday, being one hour before the start of the quads. In the enduro category, 75% of the registrations will be awarded in bursaries. New this year, the ENDURO pilots will be able to register in the IRONMAN category. For a second year in a row, the small categories competition will also take place!
Managed by the FMSQ, the small categories competition is for the amateur women and the young pilots, who we call «Pee-Wee». These races will take place at 6:45pm on Saturday and at 8:30am on Sunday morning. It is a timed competition that will be held in 2 heats of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
This 9th edition will have an exposition site that will be double the size to make the experience more entertaining for the visitors. Many kiosks will be there to attract both kids and adults such as the Yamaha Academy which will offer bike lessons to the young enthusiasts.  Manufacturing companies will be there to let you try their new ATVs, helicopter rides will be available in order to let you appreciate and discover the beautiful scenic view of the La Tuque region. Many other surprise activities will be confirmed. Restaurants, tents, and kiosks will always be on-site to feed and cool-down the visitors. In order to offer the most entertaining and attracting show, a trial competition will be held all week-end on the exposition sites.
Visitors will be able to go around the exposition sites free of charge, with the exception of the VIP section, the stands as well as the pits. However, the 2010 fees are very accessible since the 2-day VIP passes for an adult is $15.00 and the day pass is only $10.00. For teenagers between 12-17 years old, the prices are $10.00 for the VIP passes and $7.00 for the day pass and finally, the fee for kids under 11 will have access to the site for free for both days.
The activities will start on the «12 heures» site, being the cross-country ski club «La Tuque Rouge» located at 145, boul. Industriel. On Friday night the quad and enduro pilot presentations will be held. Access to the site at this point will be free; it will also be possible to purchase the week-end VIP passes. The night will unravel with entertainment under the tent. The qualifications will take place on Saturday morning on each competition’s respective circuit.
The invitation is now sent out to the whole population who would like to learn about this «off-track race» event as well as to all the tourists who would like to discover everything the region has to offer.
The organizational committee would like to take this opportunity to thank its partners who believe in this event; without their help, the 9th edition would not have been feasible. Thank-you to the city of La Tuque, to the Fédération Québecoise de Clubs Quad and to the Fédération des Motos hors route du Québec.
